“It All Adds Up to Cleaner Air” national public awareness initiative, Federal Highway Administration

Through this federal public education and partnership-building initiative, Arch Street works with more than 90 communities across the country to implement local outreach programs that let constituents know the small steps they can take to reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality.

Challenge: Enroll air quality and transportation professionals across the country to become It All Adds Up “Community Partners,” counsel them on ways to get the word out locally and expand program materials to enlarge and strengthen this national air quality movement.

Solution: By delivering commercial-quality ads, PSAs, billboards and more to communities across the country and guiding them in ways to use these materials at the local level, It All Adds Up deputizes local organizations who carry the message of how small changes can reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality, effectively reaching millions of Americans in a highly cost-efficient outreach.

Results: New community partners continue to sign on, and the Arch Street team has energized the program with a changing selection of seasonal materials, a new Spanish language TV PSA translation and a revamped quarterly newsletter chock full of innovative tips for implementation.
