
Best Workplaces for Commuters, national media outreach and special events, US Environmental Protection Agency
A healthy balance sheet and a healthy environment can go hand in hand, as demonstrated by Best Workplaces for Commuters (BWC), the US EPA program that publicly recognizes employers whose commuter benefits reach a national standard of excellence.
Challenge: Extending the program’s reach to advance the EPA’s long-term vision for BWC and to effectively expand awareness and encourage employers to sign up, ease the commute for their employees, and improve regional mobility and air quality.
Solution: Arch Street launched BWC in the northeast with a comprehensive, customized media outreach campaign that successfully tapped all avenues of media placement with live events, web casts, a TV PSA, and notable publicity placements.
Results: Extensive media coverage throughout the New York/New Jersey/Connecticut metro area. Coverage included the major dailies, weeklies, broadcast and television news reports, one-on-one interviews, panel discussions on commuting, media serving ethnic populations and online news services.
